This week we bring you a gift of pure delight. Two shows full of field trips, lessons learned, and throwbacks to other classic hatewatches. We call this, "Cottage Life, UK". First, we bring you Mary Portus, Secret Shopper, where we visit a bridal shop and eat some coleslaw sandwiches. Kelsey finds out trains exist, Mary Portus' origin story is revealed, Kirstie learns vocabulary and we find ourselves trying to navigate some messily told character stories. Then we transition to Weekend Aristocrats, a show about rich white men and their endless fear of plebs. Kelsey gets to relive the show vicariously through this episode, from peacocks to divorces. Come for the Halloween, stay for the tough conversations about socioeconomic inequality and generational aristocracy.

Outlander Omnibus: Je Suis Prest for the Men of Outlander
March 23rd, 2018 | 1 hr 23 mins
Media, Men, Starz, TV, claire fraser, cragh na dun, dougal, entertainment, feminism, hatewatch, hatewatch with us, jamie fraser, je suis prest, lord john grey, media criticism, murtagh, outlander, podcast, sam heughan, television, thought bubble, thought bubble audio, time travel, toxic masculinity
Something strange happened with this episode, as if it fell through the stones at Cragh na dun and got lost for a few days before finding its way back to these, our modern times. Or at least that’s the story we’re going with to explain why this episode is late. This time on the Outlander Omnibus, we’re talking MEN, specifically men we want to bone, more specifically, Jamie. We spend some time objectifying everybody’s favorite fantasy husband, then we expand to discuss the rest of Outlander’s men. Kirstie has some latent feelings about turtlenecks again, and we wrap it all up with the legendary Hatewatch segment, listen to us Google a thing. JE SUIS PREST!

Get your JumpFunders ready friends because we're heading to The Capitol with some solo house hunters and some ice sculptures. And guess what - Kelsey wrote this whole description BUY HERSELF. First up this week, Sandra Rinomato and her pink tape measure introduce us to the Single Ladies Of Toronto™ and their $750k condo budgets, a true gift from HGTV Canada. Then, we head to Not New Hampshire to continue our #HatewatchHallmark tradition with Chrismas Festival of Ice. From high end finishes made of ice to Christmas boners, this movie truly has it all.

Pass the cranberry sauce! We're having mashed potatoes! It's our Thanksgiving special and we're thankful for you! This week we're starting with an overview of all the Thanksgiving themed episodes, from Linda songs to Bob being a sad sack. Spoiler alert: both Kirstie and Kelsey end up singing and that's something for YOU to be thankful for. Then we begin what will be a 5 week Hatewatch Celebration of Hallmark Movies with The Sweetest Christmas. It's great, as long as you don't get any gumdrops in my garlic knots. We get distracted by the female gaze, Kelsey loves ginger snaps and Kirstie yells about exactly which Starbucks Syrups she has personal beef with. Also gingerbread happens in multitudes. Stay tuned for the next 5 weeks, because from now until New Years we are watching a Hallmark Movie a week!

Designated Survivor and The Writer's Strike
November 7th, 2017 | 1 hr 8 mins
TV, designated survivor, dinner party, hatewatch, hatewatch with us, kiefer sutherland, podcast, the office, thought bubble audio, writers strike
This episode stands as a Monument to the sheer force of the human spirit as we overcome our various afflictions to bring you some kind of shit related to Designated Survivor using the Lucas Method of Hatewatch. Break out your hoody and your Warby Parkers and sit back as we get to know some friends such as Keither Suferland, some Coiffed Young Sirs, and the Everyshow's Aarons and Collins. Kelsey doesn't know the Capitol Building, and everything comes to a grinding halt when we discover Earmapping. The high end finishes really increased the value of this Hatewatch. Then, we pivot to celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the 2007 Writer's Strike. We've got the oral history of the Strike, as well as an overview of all the shows we loved and how they were impacted. Come for the historical context, stay for the history of how WE ended it. Things were going well until Kelsey's great Dinner Party reveal, at which point everything comes to a grinding, petty halt. You, dear listener, have the power to be on the right side of The Office history. Which path do you choose?

TV, Wine, fart jokes, farts, hatewatch, hatewatch with us, italy, matthew goode, matthew rhys, movies, podcast, rupert grint, the wine show, thought bubble audio, thunderpants, wine matthews
This week is apparently all about short British men. First, we maybe get a little too close to rules 34 and 36 of the internet with Rupert Grint's most famous cinematic masterpeice, Thunderpants. We watched a two hour fart joke so we could spend a half hour using fart jokes to make fun of people who think fart jokes are funny. Really, we were just jealous we didn't fart ourselves into space. Kelsey then takes some safari style polaroids, and we transition into talking about The Wine Show. Find out who our favorite Wine Matthew's are, learn more about wine gadgets, hear our desperate plea for wine recomendations, and add this to your list of Li'l Hygge Approved Television.

LOOK INTO MY EYES. I WANT TO TELL YOU SOMETHING. We are in the same place at the same time for the same reason! That's right, Kirstie and Kelsey finally got the opportunity to record in the same room and it went......about as well as you'd expect. For our A Segment we try lots of things so you don't have to, namely Facebook Watch but also, Maple Bacon Potato Chips. For our B segment, we decided the time had come to watch two formative texts from Kirstie and Kelsey's lives. We discuss That Thing You Do and Adventureland, and learn a lot about each other, turtlenecks, Kristin Stewart, drummers, summer jobs, the 80s, and accidental sexual awakening.

Netflix, TV, fall tv preview, hatewatch, hatewatch with us, podcast, qwikster, reboots, regrets, sitcoms, streaming, thought bubble audio, white gold, young sheldon
This week we literally had to fight off a curse which included coffee spills, jacked up audio, and a mid-recording spider ambush in order to bring you this glorious content. We've got our Fall Tv Preview, complete with the return of everyone's favorite game segment, What Fresh Hell is This???? We talk about the Military Industrial Television Complex, Young Sheldon, Super Magicians turned FBI Agents, single cam sitcoms, Reboots, and so much more. Spoiler alert, we're not happy about any of it. Then for our B segment, it's time for a Hatewatch Holiday: Qwikster Day. Announced on Sept 18th, 2011, Netflix made a life choice that they regretted and rectified by October 10th, 2011. Kelsey has had this day marked on her google calendar ever since. We chose to commemorate this mistake by watching the new Netflix Original: The Adventures of Bobby Draper. Sorry, I meant White Gold. We've got grown men peeing their pants and other stuff that helps us keep our explicit rating. Spoiler alert: We don't hate it as much as we should have. Mark your calendars for next year!
