This week we're reporting live from the floating glamping dome at Château de la Motte-Husson. We wish??? Alas, we are forced to Escape to the Chateau by way of Dick Strawbridge and his enigmatic aura. If you too enjoy watching questionable people make questionable choices with both their home renovation and their business, look no further than this gem that includes highlights such as taxidermy! narrator shade! growing vegetables and eating them! We actually cannot overstate how much we love this show or how many questions we have about Dick Strawbridge's credentials. If you have information about the petty chateau wars, please contact us!

Other highlights include an important Grand Designs red alert and a Perd Hapley appearance.

Alex Inc and Podcast TV

Everyone's favorite Tuesday-Adjacent podcast is back to get a little meta as we talk about podcasts becoming tv shows and tv shows about podcasts trying to become podcasts companies......or something. We start with the new Zack Braff show Alex Inc., where we struggle with our feelings about Zack Braff, teenage magicians, family comedies, and 401Ks. Get the sco op on the upcoming Hatewatch With Us adaptation including episode synopses, the dream cast, and other hot details. Then we move on to discussing the idea of adapting podcasts into television. We ponder deep questions like which podcasts are television worthy, what podcasts would we hate to watch, and play our favorite game Listen to Kirstie and Kelsey Google. Our main take away was Zack Braff isn't great, ABC needs to stay in their lane, and Roman Mars and Kevin McCloud should face off in a competitive reality show. Send in your pitch package for the Hatewatch With Us TV Adaptation! Best one gets pitched to Hulu.

Sometimes, you encounter a home improvement program, and it's ordinary. Guided by a contractor, a friend, or perhaps, two brothers, the buyers face adversities that limit their budgets and imaginations. They wind up with a home that's perfectly suitable for their purposes. But other times, you may happen upon a builder who yearns for more. A bespoke home, with triple glazed windows and fine mahogany furniture. Perhaps a balcony from which you can monologue. When you embark on the audacious task of evaluating home improvement television, you may just discover the spirit of humanity. Saddle up your Lil' Hygge and enter this Utopia of Awesomeness to discover all of the secret lives of home improvement host extraordinaires, Jonathan and Drew Scott and Kevin McCloud. We're talking cob, mahogany, bespoke suits, The Most Interesting Man In the World, amusement parks, the Third Olsen Twin, and more. Come for the home improvement television, stay for the architectural metaphors.
