Hatewatch Holidays continue this week with two new original movies from the eternally sexless Hallmark Channel. First, we're revisiting Evergreen for the THIRD time with Christmas In Evergreen 3: Tidings of Joy. Our favorite totally real Vermont town is back to their whimsical ways with a plot heavy advent calendar time capsule situation! Stay tuned for next year when we inevitably cover Christmas In Evergreen 4: Small Boy Gets Another Key and Everybody Goes To Therapy. Our second film this week is Sense, Sensibility, and Snowmen, which carries on the Hallmark tradition of disgracing Jane Austen's good name for the sake of Christmas content. Also, the podcast would like to note that the jingle bells in this episode is not in fact our own festive sound effect but rather the resident pod dog channeling the spirit of Christmas with his collar. We're not sorry.

Your favorite hosts are back and here to unlock the Hallmark Channel algorithm as we dig deep into their HGTV fanfic movie, Flip That Romance. Whether you're into flipping or florist-ing, there's something here for everyone(???) as long as you're not a contractor looking for work in Portland. So pick up some art wood and join us on this adventure through a generic Pacific Northwest place as we learn about the best foliage for your kitchen island, voter fraud at the home and garden show, and how not to write a press release. Remember folks, with only one of their designs able to win the magazine spread, it could be that not only their duplex got renovated for the better but also their romance got flipped as well.

Pass the cranberry sauce! We're having mashed potatoes! It's our Thanksgiving special and we're thankful for you! This week we're starting with an overview of all the Thanksgiving themed episodes, from Linda songs to Bob being a sad sack. Spoiler alert: both Kirstie and Kelsey end up singing and that's something for YOU to be thankful for. Then we begin what will be a 5 week Hatewatch Celebration of Hallmark Movies with The Sweetest Christmas. It's great, as long as you don't get any gumdrops in my garlic knots. We get distracted by the female gaze, Kelsey loves ginger snaps and Kirstie yells about exactly which Starbucks Syrups she has personal beef with. Also gingerbread happens in multitudes. Stay tuned for the next 5 weeks, because from now until New Years we are watching a Hallmark Movie a week!

So the Emmy nominations dropped and our feelings can best be summed up as.....meh??? We debrief our feelings about This Is Us, the number of repeat nominations, air our grievances about the VICIOUS SNUBS, and have nothing to say about several categories. Then, we take a field trip to the motherland and hate watch the Hallmark original movie. Moonlight in Vermont. You're going to learn a lot about syrup grading, maple trees, Montpelier, locally sourced ingredients, and New York real estate agents. Much like the oyster-mushroom-Meet-Cute, this segment is the beginning of something beautiful and unexpected, as Kelsey and Kirstie begin to fall deeply in love with Hallmark Original Movies.
