It's the most Hatewatchable Time of the Year - Hatewatch Christmas 2021 is well underway and this week we are coming in hot with two entries from Hallmark full of time travel, cats, and infrastructure galore. First it's the Nine Kittens of Christmas, a movie where not much happens except a venue for our annual debate about the merits of Hallmark fucking. Next is Next Stop Christmas, and folks Hallmark had no right making this film just for us. If you like trains, time travel, and dunking on New England this has got it all.

Christmas in Evergreen and the 12th Date of Christmas
December 24th, 2020 | 1 hr 3 mins
12th date of christmas, christmas, christmas in evergreen, christmas in evergreen 4, christmas in evergreen bells are ringing, hallmark, hallmark christmas, hallmark movie, hatewatch, hatewatch with us, tv movie
What would Christmas be without revisiting our favorite places? We are returning reluctantly to Evergreen, Vermont, where we can apparently no longer see the North Pole, nor partake in magical advent calanders, but do apparently have plenty of hat factory ghosts, before we jet off to Chicago for a scavenger hunt inspired stay-cation. Tl:dr, we want Hallmark to do more weird townie shit and fewer start-up marketing stunts. Stay tuned for the end when we draft our pilots for Pilot Palooza!! Make sure to make your list and do your homework!

We made it 3 episodes into Hatewatch Holiday before we had to argue about letting Hallmark Fuck (guys, these aren't even Hallmark movies????). We've got hot takes on Streaming search tools, Emma Roberts and Kristen Stewart, a snappy new name for Quarantine Quorner, and a very important new submission to the Christmas Movie Cannon (listen to find out what movie we want you to watch instead of Holidate).

Hatewatch Holidays continue this week with two new original movies from the eternally sexless Hallmark Channel. First, we're revisiting Evergreen for the THIRD time with Christmas In Evergreen 3: Tidings of Joy. Our favorite totally real Vermont town is back to their whimsical ways with a plot heavy advent calendar time capsule situation! Stay tuned for next year when we inevitably cover Christmas In Evergreen 4: Small Boy Gets Another Key and Everybody Goes To Therapy. Our second film this week is Sense, Sensibility, and Snowmen, which carries on the Hallmark tradition of disgracing Jane Austen's good name for the sake of Christmas content. Also, the podcast would like to note that the jingle bells in this episode is not in fact our own festive sound effect but rather the resident pod dog channeling the spirit of Christmas with his collar. We're not sorry.

Media, Netflix, TV, christmas, dennis quaid, freeform, gift wrap, hatewatch, hatewatch with us, holiday, last man standing, merry happy whatever, podcast, reality tv, streaming, television, wrap battle
It's the kickoff to Hatewatch Holidays and we're doing our best to get into the holiday spirit by knocking out some very un-merry content from the jump. First we reunite with Kelsey's One True Dad and Kirstie's new Problematic Uncle, Dennis Quaid, in the Netflix Christmas show Merry Happy Whatever. We get to relive all the highlight of moments in television like Last Man Standing and Everybody Loves Raymond and Dennis Quaid's relationship with much younger women and the patriarchy. Then we are discussing the Freeform reality show Wrap Battle. Join us in rapidly wrapping this pilot (see what we did there?) and exploring some reality tv deep state conspiracy theories. Stay tuned, there is lots for Christmas Coverage to come!

We've got elephants, we've got white saviors, we've got African Language, and did we mention the elephants? Come for Netflix's attempted charity tax write off, stay to MAKE SOMETHING OF YOURSELF. Also, please let us know if you genuinely know who we can donate to to help the elephants. Happy Holidays!

Pride, Prejudice, and Mistletoe and A Shoe Addict's Christmas

It's our last installment of Hatewatch Hallmark before moving on to the endless bounty of off-brand Christmas movies, so we are coming in hot this week. We start with the sequel to our Outlander Store Dot Com special: A Novice's Guide to Destiny Dice and honestly we feel this should have been its own segment because it had way more to offer than either of the films we watched. We then move on to Pride, Prejudice, and Mistletoe where we had a lot of questions about our stock options next fiscal year. Before long we are visited by the Ghost of Jean Smart Past, Future, and Present, and were transported to A Shoe Addict's Christmas where Kelsey bestowed upon us the gift of her Candance impression and ERHMERHGERD did we dig up an old ass meme. If you too would like to redo your past in answer to your calling from God by your guardian angel Jean Smart, enter us in the Sam Heughan Charity Crossfit Contest this holiday season: https://www.omaze.com/experiences/sam-heughan-date-night

Road to Christmas and Christmas In Evergreen: Letters to Santa

TV, chad michael murray, charity crossfit, christmas, christmas in evergreen, christmas in evergreen letters to santa, christmas movie, hallmark, hallmark channel, hallmark christmas, hatewatch, hatewatch hallmark, hatewatch with us, movie, podcast, road to christmas, sam heughan, santa, vermont
It's #HatewatchHallmark Vermont week! We watch Road to Christmas, where Kirstie learns how to identify a Chad Michael Murray in the wild, then it's like Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! all over again as we revisit our favorite town with an inexplicable Christmas theme in Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa. Ok, it's not quite as good as Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!, but what could be? We chat about the specific boundaries we want Hallmark to push, Kirstie references male romantic leads as "the guy... the love guy," and we even get some good old fashioned tchotchke ponzi schemes. If you're reading this, Santa, consider this our letter, and enter us in the Sam Heughan Charity Crossfit Contest this holiday season: https://www.omaze.com/experiences/sam-heughan-date-night

A Christmas Prince and Christmas in Evergreen
December 19th, 2017 | 1 hr 14 mins
Netflix, a christmas prince, acorns, aldovia, christmas, christmas in evergreen, eurovision, hallmark, hatewatch
Last week we told you a story about wanting to limit our Christmas content. This week we said fuck it. First we're coming in hot with another installment of Netflix, What Have You Done? We talk about A Christmas Prince, princess shit, whether or not certain cohosts do or do not want certain protagonists to bone, laws stuffed in acorns, our pitch for A Christmas Prince 2, and most importantly, we fancast the Aldovian Eurovision Team (Spoiler alert: It's Adam Driver in a horse head mask). Next up we're baking up some Chicken and Pinecones in the Hallmark Cinematic Universe with Christmas in Evergreen. There are magic snowglobes, Coke Santa and airport rants, somehow Kirstie blacks out and forgets half the plot, Kelsey manages to sneak in some Everwood feels, and then we round the whole thing out by complaining about how much we hate Ted from How I Met Your Mother. If you're looking for us, we'll just be in our Christmas Void until the next installment of #HatewatchHallmark.
